Today we wanted to share some photos from the recent Calligraphic Inscriptions event we hosted at the New York Public Library. Customers who bought Paperblanks books from the library’s Gift Shop were able to get their books personally inscribed by professional calligraphers.
Check out the photos below and tell us in the comments section what you think of these calligraphers’ beautiful work!
And if you’re in the Los Angeles area this coming weekend, be sure to join us for our second Calligraphic Inscriptions event. We’ll be at The Huntington Bookstore on Saturday, May 4th, from 2-5pm. You can find out more here.
About Paperblanks®: We have been producing superb writing journals for twenty years. We are book people, and we believe that the written word matters and that our blank books have a critical role to play in the art and continued practice of writing itself. For more about Paperblanks®, go to our website at paperblanks.com.
Thank you for hosting & posting this lovely event. It would be nice to have more information about the calligraphers – are they associated with a calligraphy group at Paperblanks, or in NY? Do they do this for a living?
It is beautiful work. I look forward to attending the Los Angeles event at The Huntington Saturday.
Hi Deirdre! We’re glad to hear you’re going to make it to the Los Andeles event! In regards to your question about the calligraphers, we’ve added more information about all of them on our original post on the subject here.
