Have you ever wondered what the people behind Paperblanks get up to every day? Did you ever look at a Paperblanks design and wonder, “Hmm, how would this look on my desk?” Well, in this new exclusive blog series, we are diving headfirst into uncovering what our staff have on their desks.
This week we’re jumping over to the Operations department, where we spoke to the lovely Hannah, our Sales Operations Executive for Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands. Coming up to nearly two years at Paperblanks, Hannah has firmly cemented her place within the team.
When I asked Hannah what her day-to-day looks like, she told me it centres around one big task: managing all the operational aspects of the German, Austrian, and Dutch markets, including working closely with our distributors. Whether it’s processing orders, replying to B2B customer queries, communicating with warehouses across the globe, or coordinating with our sales reps, Hannah makes sure everything keeps moving so our products end up in your hands. She summed it up perfectly: “Every day is different, which I like a lot.”

To get through a busy day of managing orders and chasing down queries, I asked Hannah what her go-to Paperblanks products are. She said she couldn’t live without her Portuguese Tiles planner, which keeps her organized. She’s a big fan of handwritten to-do lists, so the planner is perfect for tracking her tasks and making sure everything’s delivered on time.
On her desk, you’ll also find not one but two journals: her Monet (Water Lilies), Letter to Morisot journal and her Grey on Black cahier (created by book designer Nadine Werner). She uses them to jot down important meeting notes, task updates, and her own daily reminders to stay on top of things.
As for non-Paperblanks must-haves, Hannah can’t go without her headphones (a bit of a trend around here) – not to drown out office chatter, but to listen to music and podcasts while she works. She’s also got her trusty highlighters to tick things off her list, and a pretty pink KeepCup for her Monday morning coffee fix, which is such a lifesaver for those early starts.
And moving from the practical to the more sentimental: Hannah has a tiny cactus on her desk, gifted to her by her former colleague Pamela before she left Paperblanks. “It’s a nice reminder of the friends you make through work,” she says.
From cute cacti to Portuguese planners, we thank Hannah for giving us a peek into her Paperblanks Daily Desk essentials. Next week, we hop across the Dublin office to Sales, where we chat to Bruno about the Paperblanks products he can’t live without.
