Have you ever wondered what the people behind Paperblanks get up to every day? Did you ever look at a Paperblanks design and wonder, “Hmm, how would this look on my desk?” Well, in this new exclusive blog series, we are diving headfirst into uncovering what our staff have on their desks.
This week we are heading over to the Sales department, the team that connects our products with the people who love them. We spoke to Bruno, our Relationship Manager for Scandinavia who, although he is a pivotal part of the Sales team, also works alongside Operations to keep everything moving along nicely.
As a member of the Paperblanks family for nearly four years, Bruno is practically part of the furniture in the Dublin office. Aside from keeping up company morale, I asked Bruno what he gets up to every day. He says his day is a mixture of different tasks, but it always revolves around taking care of our lovely customers in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Whether it’s emails, calls, or solving issues, he’s there to make sure orders and logistics are running smoothly. He also has regular meetings with his department to align their tasks and ensure they’re on top of the week’s priorities.

Bruno’s desk is always full of so many fun items that catch my eye every time I walk past that I was eager to dive into his daily essentials. I asked him what Paperblanks products he uses to get through a busy day in the sales world. He says he is currently using our Cezanne’s Terracotta Pots and Flowers 18-month planner in midi format with a Paperblanks pen loop attached, which is his perfect combination! His planner is the best office companion for busy meetings and keeping track of tasks. Bruno says, “I keep everything work-related in there, and honestly, I’d be lost without it.”
Bruno also uses his The Brothers Grimm, Frog Prince bookmark to mark his place in his reading, which he gets up to during his breaks. Also, as an integral part of the social committee (just like Carles, whose Daily Desk profile was posted on May 30th), Bruno likes to keep a Hafiz’s Peacocks canvas bag for running to the shop to pick up treats and, more commonly, birthday cakes to celebrate the latest office birthday.
Aside from his Paperblanks essentials, I asked Bruno what other items he couldn’t live without. A must is his AirPods (this continues to be an answer from nearly every Paperblanks employee). He also uses some markers to check tasks off his list, and of course, his coffee mug. He notes that his morning cup of coffee is the most essential item. He also mentioned his guilty pleasure: his fidget spinner. “It sounds a bit millennial, but I love my spinner. It really helps me chill out when I’m stressed,” he jokes.
Bruno reminisces that there are so many sentimental items on his desk that he’s lost count. Some of his favourites are his cactus that he “borrowed” from Diane’s desk, a bracelet that reminds him of his friends back home in Spain, and a few gifts from his colleagues, such as a miniature Vespa from Carles and a Harry Potter figure from Irene, as he dressed up as Harry Potter for our last annual Halloween party! Additionally, his desk is scattered with memorable Polaroids from over the years.
From perfect planners and pen loops to comforting cups of coffee, we thank Bruno for giving us insight into his Paperblanks Daily Desk essentials. Tune in next week to get a peek into what products the team at Paperblanks couldn’t live without.
