Have you ever wondered what the people behind Paperblanks get up to every day? Did you ever look at a Paperblanks design and wonder, “Hmm, how would this look on my desk?” Well, in this new exclusive blog series, we are diving headfirst into uncovering what our staff have on their desks.
This week we are heading over to the Sales department, where we talked to Amy, our Sales Team Leader for EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa). Amy truly puts the “pro” in professional: she is an encyclopaedia of Paperblanks knowledge, having worked at the company for six and a half years.
When I asked Amy, “What does your day to day look like?” she shared a range of tasks that keep her busy throughout the week.
Her week kicks off with sales huddles alongside the rest of the team, where they determine the priorities and tasks for the days ahead. Amy analyzes sales data, tracks performance, and supports different regional markets. She also joins meetings with our Graphics and New Product Development teams, offering expert insights on market trends and customer preferences. In many ways, Amy is the voice of the people, working hard to help bring you the products you truly want!

To stay on top of her busy schedule, Amy relies on a number of trusted Paperblanks products. Her go-to is her Asterix & Obelix 12-Month Ultra Planner. Between her busy work schedule and home life, she has a lot to organize, and her ultra planner is perfect for that. With a packed schedule, she appreciates the day-at-a-time interior layout which is ideal for keeping track of to-do lists and meeting notes – especially since, in her own words, her memory isn’t the best!
In addition to her planner, Amy uses an Aurelia dot-grid planner, which she has had for three years – proof that only premium quality materials go into our journals! She has transformed her dot-grid journal to create her own personal interior for keeping track of her daily gratitude and sleep, and jotting down her thoughts.
For on-the-go, Amy uses her Anemone canvas bag, ideal for carrying her lunch into work or throwing her shopping into during her lunch break. She also recommends it as the perfect hand luggage companion when you’re travelling too. Other Paperblanks essentials include her Van Gogh’s Irises document folder to hold all her paperwork when she is travelling, and her Spring pencil which she keeps in her Floralia pencil case.
On top of her Paperblanks essentials, I asked Amy, “What are the other non-Paperblanks items that you couldn’t live without?” She listed her water bottle, highlighters, lipstick, hand cream, and, of course, her eyedrops.
Finally, Amy shared a special story about a unique item on her desk: a pineapple-shaped glass her manager gifted her for her 25th birthday. At the time, Amy was obsessed with all things pineapple-related. It was during the pandemic and a time when moments of fun were few and far between, and she couldn’t see loved ones. Amy reflects, “Paperblanks still managed to make that birthday very special for me, and my pineapple reminds me of that.”
From Aurelia affirmations to pandemic pineapples, we thank Amy for giving us a peek into her Paperblanks Daily Desk essentials. Next week we are heading over to Operations, where Ines tells us about the products she couldn’t live without.
