The look of this new Old Leather cover is inspired by our Tolstoy, Letter of Peace design and echoes its peaceful sentiments. Leo Tolstoy (1828–1910) is perhaps best known for realist fiction like War and Peace (1869) and Anna Karenina (1877), but his legacy is also that of a passionate and influential proponent of nonviolence and conscientious objection.
The tranquil marine background colour of that Embellished Manuscript journal is equally as compelling on its own as it is paired with Tolstoy’s composition, and here we have embellished it with a simple gold frame.
The name Pacific Blue is inspired by the design’s aquatic blue colour. We hope this new cover washes a sense of peaceful serenity over you whenever it’s near.
