#Amys30: We Pay Tribute to Amy Winehouse This Weekend

Saturday, September 14 marks what should have been Amy Winehouse’s thirtieth birthday. Though she died far too young at just the beginning of her twenty-seventh year, her creative legacy has left a lasting impression on art lovers around the world. Here at Paperblanks^® we’ve never been shy about the influence Amy’s art and music have had on us, and we are proud to offer an Amy Winehouse “Tears Dry” Embellished Manuscript journal that benefits the Amy Winehouse Foundation. So, on Amy’s birthday weekend, we would like to take the opportunity to spread the word about the ways the Foundation, which works with young people struggling with addiction and mental health issues, is commemorating the legendary singer.

Amy’s hometown of Camden, England is the place to be this weekend for all the festivities celebrating her thirtieth birthday. A taste of the weekend’s events includes the exhibition Amy Winehouse: For You I Was A Flame at the Proud Art Gallery featuring photographs of the singer along with paintings, sketches and graffiti art both donated and of her own collection. Can’t make it to Camden for the weekend? You can still help the Amy Winehouse Foundation raise money to benefit young people in need by celebrating your love for music in your own city. Suggestions from the Foundation include holding a karaoke night of Amy’s songs or planning a makeup and pamper party for you and your friends.
